1. Your price
Before you confirm a paid booking, checkout shows the agreed task amount, AskFavr fee, any payment-related charge and applicable taxes, and the total payable. Review that breakdown before authorising your card. A processing amount described as an estimate is the disclosed amount included in your quotation; it is not a statement of the card processor's final cost to AskFavr. The amount payable is the total you confirm.
Helpers should include agreed materials, expenses and any taxes they are required to charge in their quoted price. Additional Favrs or expenses require the Asker's agreement. Each helper is responsible for their own tax reporting and any invoice they are legally required to provide.
2. Card authorisation
Stripe handles card entry and payment processing. Your bank may ask you to authenticate a payment. Authorisation temporarily reserves the checkout total on your card. It is not yet a completed charge. A hold can expire, so both parties should check the booking's payment status before the Favr starts.
If authorisation fails or expires, follow the payment instructions in the booking before proceeding. Do not rely on a screenshot supplied by another member as confirmation of payment.
3. Completion and collection
After finishing the task, the selected helper requests completion. The Asker reviews the Favr and confirms completion in the app, which instructs Stripe to collect the authorised payment. If there is a problem, raise it through the booking before confirming. An open dispute requires review before the normal completion process can continue.
Check Payments and earnings for the recorded outcome. If a payment remains pending or its status is unclear, contact support before starting another payment. Confirmation of completion does not remove your statutory rights.
4. Receiving payment
Helpers complete Stripe Connect setup to receive payments. Stripe may request identity, address, bank or business information and may restrict payments while requirements remain outstanding. Supplying services as an individual does not remove payment verification requirements.
Once collection succeeds, transfer and bank payout timing depend on Stripe, the connected account and the receiving bank. Payment verification is not a background check or a professional endorsement by AskFavr.
5. Refunds and payment disputes
For a completed payment, use Request refund review in Payments and earnings or contact contact@favr.online. Describe the issue and identify the booking. The outcome depends on the circumstances, the amount paid, any service supplied and your legal rights. If a refund is due, we arrange processing and tell you the outcome; the bank may take additional time to show it.
For an uncaptured card hold, cancellation releases the authorisation instead of refunding a completed charge. A pending review does not mean that funds have already been returned. You can also exercise any dispute rights available through your bank or payment provider. Tell us about overlapping claims so we can reconcile them without duplicating a refund.
A review decision, a refund request sent to Stripe, Stripe's confirmation and the credit appearing at your bank are separate steps. An approved review alone does not return money. Reviews and Payments and earnings show the recorded payment progress, including partial refunds. A refund made separately through Stripe must be reconciled with the booking; contact support if the displayed position is out of date.
6. Safe payments
Keep payment arrangements in AskFavr. Never give another member your password, bank authentication code or full card details. Contact support if someone asks for a separate payment to release a booking or refund. Details of cancellation are in Cancellations and Refunds.
